I know, either you love him or hate him, but I just wanted to remind those in N.Y. that his new film "Mulholland Drive" opened up there over the weekend. Go see it and tell me how it is, but just don't give away the ending!
P.S. It may be widely released at a later date, and the film is two and a half hours.

I just read the script "Elephant Man" and was deeply touched by it.

The movie was quite good, but I felt that it lacked something, maybe it was the stereotypical Hollywood movie style.

    Anyways...I haven't seen a lot of Lynch's movie's but I think I will.

There was a Nick Nolte film that I think had the same title about five years ago. That one also had Jennifer Connelly and was set in I think the forties.

Alex, to answer your question, "TV Note: This project was originally the pilot for a TV series on ABC which would've marked the return of David Lynch to TV a decade after Twin Peaks changed television history (not counting the brief 1992 run of On the Air). However, ABC decided not to pick up the series, and so the pilot was never aired." and this is from,

Yes, there was another movie with the name "Mulholland" in it in called "Mulholland Falls" starring Nick Nolte and Melanie Griffith. Both are named after a corksrew street in the Hollywood Hills. Later-Chris

It actaully premiered in the New YOrk Film Festival, but sold out. It supposedly his best film in a long time. I will try to catch it this weekend and see how it is.

I did see La Cienaga and Warm Water Under a Red Bridge. Both where very good, though I like La Cienaga better.

    Hi Everyone,
Last night I saw Mulholland Drive at a local mega-plex 20 in my neighborhood. I don't go to movies very much and I was reminded why last night. Although I was pleased that our screen was a large enough size for the room...I swear that the surrounds weren't operating in the theater! The soundtrack had a Lost Highway sort of drone to it, but I'm positive the sound was broken. It was no use complaining, really. Only the front left + right and center channels seemed to be on, with the bass coming from the left and right fronts. The audience was hip, but I know why people wait for video and play it on their home theaters. THE MOVIE: I won't say much except that Lynch fans of Twin Peaks and Lost Highway won't be disappointed. Four out of Four Stars.
